Expansion of Cozumel cruise terminal announced

Due to the large arrival of cruise ships to Cozumel, the expansion of the SSA Mexico terminal has been announced.
The terminal will see an expansion that will allow additional docking capacity with an investment of 56 million peso. The Cozumel International Cruise Terminal dock modernization project involves the construction of a Duque de Alba in the maritime concession area and the extension of the current gangway at the Cozumel International Cruise Terminal dock in the federal maritime zone.

PROCESS TO GET YOUR TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT RESIDENCY IN MEXICO:
In the States you have to go to the nearest Mexican Consulate and apply for a VISA.
Steps to follow to apply for Mexico Visa
- Step 1: Download the visa application form. ...
- Step 2: Fill up the visa application form. ...
- Step 3: Gather the required documents for visa application. ...
- Step 4: Provide photograph for your visa application. ...
- Step 5: Check the visa application fee.
- Turn this in at your Mexican Consulate and bring what they give you back to Mexico Immigration.
Once
in Mexico, the process is currently taking between two to two and a
half months once you bring this information to Mexican Immigration to
get your card.
Once Immigration receives the file then we have to wait around 5 weeks for a verification of data,
Then another 1 week to schedule the appointment of fingerprints and signatures
and another 2 weeks to physically receive the credential (Immigration card)
It's
important to mention you can obtain a permit to leave the country
(Valid for 60 days) ......and then continue the process of your file
from your country.
