Mexico sees a 10.3 percent increase in cruise passengers during first quarter

In the first quarter of this year, Leal says that more than 2.7 million cruise passengers have already docked around Mexico’s ports, a 10.3 percent increase over the same quarter as last year. He reported that already this year, 935 ships have sailed into Mexican ports, securing confidence in the country’s cruise industry.

Data from la Dirección de Puertos y Marina Mercante de la Secretaría de Comunicaciones y Transportes also shows an increase in the arrival of recreational boats into Mexico, particularly in the Pacific. Leal says that the appeal to travel by boat has become very attractive for tourists since prices are not excessive and cruises are all-inclusive. He says that as for Princess Cruises, they have plans for six new ships of which three of the Royal class will set sail for Mexico. Read more>>>

We build free or low cost choice-based art studios for all ages that build skills, nurture expression, and inspire self confidence in children and adults facing formidable circumstances such as homelessness, poverty, abuse, and illiteracy.

Our choice-based studio, Casa de la Creatividad (House of Creativity), is a safe place where we can nurture creativity and encourage growth and exploration.

Art that is created and inspired by the artist's own experiences enhances authenticity and growth as an individual. The artists direct their own work and learning; they ask questions and see the possibilities in the world around them.

Choice-based art making decreases comparisons to others, and a nurturing community evolves; the artists coach each other, encourage each other, discuss, share, and celebrate themselves and each other.

We plant the seeds of positive change that improves lives and communities.

US Currency must be in mint Condition!

In late March of 2019, Mexican banks and foreign currency exchange businesses began rejecting US dollars of all denominations with even the slightest defect.

Businesses can no longer exchange these bills as they will not be accepted by Mexican banks. These rules apply to all Mexican businesses, they will not accept torn, worn or bills with even the slightest stain, ink or writing on them. This cash becomes useless to us unless an American client willing to bring us mint-condition bills in exchange for the slightly used dollars. If you are bringing US Cash with you make certain it is in mint condition. If you are conducting business or receiving change in US currency, inspect it to make certain it is in good condition.
